I've watched a few episodes of this recently, Its really good.

On one episode the helicopter pilot had spotted one of the "research vessel" exhaust pipes was pointing out the side of the boat. They drove up the side of it and aimed their water cannon in. A load of smoke came out but it didnt seem to slow the boat down.
