As the title suggests, I only really have the funds to complete one of these however will probably sell the car before doing the next one.
Current Spec:
X16XE
Viper Induction Kit
Enlarged Throttle Body
Dbilas Inlet Manifold
TA Technix 4-2-1 Exhaust Manifold
Decat
2.5" Scorpion Catback System
Cams I was thinking about:
Piper C16VBP270H http://www.pipercams.co.uk/pipercams/www/product.php?pid=C16VBP270H
Application Power Band Power Increase Duration Valve Lift Timing
Inl Exh Inl Exh Inl ATDC Exh BTDC Inl Exh
C16VBP270H FAST ROAD 1800‑6800 10BHP 256° 256°
I'd get my current ones reprofiled as it's cheaper how much would I be looking at for fitting etc?
Remap, I was just going to go to Nobles in Chesterfield or Remap Science.
Which do you think i'll see better gains from? Currently everything is set up perfectly and has just passed MOT no problems. It's had a full service just as well.
Finally is either really worth it for the money I'm spending? Will I realistically see any return on it when I come to sell the car?

Without a remap, cams aren't going to give you a great deal. If you get it remapped then sell it to someone who plans to put cams in it, then the map is a waste of time for them.
If you're selling soon then don't bother imo, it's a mod so it's never gonna be cost effective.

Is the map not worth it to get the most put of everything I've done?

A chip will let it rev higher which is what you want with the inlet.

Do I need updated internals though for a higher rev limit? Also which chip for the job? What's the difference between a superchip and unichip?

You could fit ARP rod bolts for peace of mind, Unichip would be best because it can be mapped. Superchips are just a chip.

Ok so how much are ARP rod bolts and I presume you have to strip the engine pretty far down to fit? How much would fitting cost?
And how much more is a unichip? I thought you couldn't raise the rev limiter with a unichip?

If your not doing it yourself, probably cost more than cams/remap

Courtney did the throttle body and the 4-2-1 I bought off a chap on here for £110 then £30 fitting cost.
So ARP rod bolts very expensive to fit?

bolts themselves are about 50-60quid ryan, u then need to get the conrod ends machined slightly(countersunk by 1mm iirc) and then they bolt up in. not sure what a garage would charge.
I wouldnt be revving past 7k without them

Yeah seen the bolts on eBay and people talking about them but couldn't find much more information on them such as fitting instructions etc. Are the standard ones prone to breaking?
I presume from all the comments it's a difficult/labour intensive job?
Cheers for all the help people!

it will need a garage to fit them if you dont know what your doing.
you will need a machine shop to machine the end caps as they wont fit otherwise
standard ones wont take much abuse over 7k, engine will be a ticking timebomb until it snaps and a rod shoots through the side of the block

will get a better one up shortly, only goes to about 6.5 on here i think, but have went further...

dunno if it'd make a lot of differance but the time i revved past 7k i had the 140mph tigra clocks in

I paid about 40quid to have the ends machined, 50 for the bolts and i fitted them myself. a garage would probably charge about 40 to fit them plus the cost of new oil
Cheaper than a new engine though when yours goes boom

The map will help you get the most out of the current mods but the point i was making was, if you're selling it shortly then it's never gonna be cost effective to spend a few hundred pounds getting it mapped if you sell it in a month or 2 and don't get the use out of it because it's not gonna bump the value of your car up

Yeah I see what you mean. Well i'm keeping it until January.
Might go for the cams as suggested above, worthwhile modification for more fun factor?

and no point mapping and then fitting cams as it will need mapping again to get the best out of it lol
