what do you think this mini is worth,
its jsut had an MOT and is solid underneath, had a faire bit of welding but all solid
1976 Mini Sprite 1000
spec :
1275 engine with twin choke carb
10" Minilites with falken tyres (specifically designed for use on minis)
LCB manifold & Y-pipe
Exhaust = Sportex straight centre to backbox with 2" tip
Facet performance elec fuel pump in boot
Spax adjustable shocks all round
Cooper S front brake disc conversion
Tinted rear screen and side 3/4's
Clear front indicator lenses
MK2 rear lights
Honda crx front seats
It started off as a mini sprite in red with a 1000cc engine in. One of the previous owners has then obviously made the change to black with a white roof and it now has a 1275cc engine with weber 45 carb in it. The dash is from a mini clubman and so has different clocks in it to original (original would have been a central mounted speedo) so the mileage is somewhat unknown, plus the speedo cable was not connected when I bought it! But I have now replaced this with a new item. for what its worth, clocks read just under 52,000.
Not much service history unfortunately
Also whats does anyone know the car?

Dash is changed to a clubman dash
this would have been the orginal dash, a pod in the centre
the new clubman dash is like this
i prefer the clubman one tbh

£3-4K I should imagine. If it was a cooper, it would be more £5-6k.

Mini prices seem to be all over the place at the moment.
I would say £2500 minimum as a serious minimum. although it could be easily worth upwards of 3k.
There seems to be a lot of people who are deluded with what they have, a rotter with no engine which people are wanting 1500 for! This only makes the price of half decent ones go up even more!
My mate just sold his 82 city E needing a lot of work with over 110k and no MOT for £1200.
Last mini i bought was in 2006 and that was a 82 with 35k on the clock and one owner from new, £300 that cost me back then. Surprising how times have changed haha

Just last week I bought an '85 Mini with full MOT which is quite similar looking to yours but has full rollcage, rally headlights etc, but only a 1.0 engine. It has had a lot of work done, new floors, arches, sills etc. I paid £2500. Will have pics up when I get it unSORN'd, but as said Mini prices seem to be all over the place.

As for the MG Metro, what's exactly wrong with it? You want to sell?

If it's mint then around £4k. A mate of mine stripped a Mini completely down a couple of years ago and built it from scratch, worth around £4k now.

I would have went for a bigger engine too, but insurance wouldn't allow. You'll have great fun in it I'm sure.
