Come home today cos the instructer was getting bored cos i was doing everything right. Shes gonna knock off a days charge so im only paying £380 for my full bike training and test. Whooooo hooooooo. Well chuffed. Roll on the test on wednesday

Nope, got a new scoota 200cc 4 stroke. Had her up to 140kph its a beast, also, put £7.50 petrol in, 148miles later, and i still have 1/2 tank
Its just for work, and after riding a 500cc today, im so glad i dont ahve to keep using a clutch in town. Scootas are deffo the way forward for city travel!

Well done mate Ive had my first lesson last week, fcuking annoying when youve riden R1's, RSV-1000's, 1200 Bandit's etc and you have to tootle along at 30mph on a 125 with some old geezer shoutin slow down in your ear! Still it has to be done.
What bike do you intend to get after you get rid of the scooter? I was thinking of getting an NCR 35, or an Aprilla 250 with a race engine but problem is the Aprilla will prob need a rebuild once a year plus id prob want a bigger bike in a years time.

True but when you are on a bike the greatest danger comes from other road users. Unless you are riding like you have a deathwish.
Chris, I know what you mean about the brakes, I rode a mates R6 and when I brake hard I pull the front in quickly but not too firm then when I feel the bite I squeeze hard on the front then apply the back gently, I did this and the R6 was skipping at the rear. Its just coz the brakes are soo good it transfers soo much weight to the front that when you apply the back it dosnt feel good at all. Mate said he's only used his back brake a few times since he got it.

After riding the RSV-1000 I want a big V-Twin. The power delivery is so different to a any big4. he torque is amazing.
Did anyone see the Superbikes at the weekend?
