I can understand really, with the 1.2 16v being group 2 insurance and the 1.0 12v being group 1 you can't get much better for a cheap run around

Cheap. My insurance on my 1.0 is £700 and I'm 20 with full no claims. Don't class that at cheap :/ could understand if I had a decent engine

insurance is an absolute joke i worked in insurance for a short while and everything they can think of gets put on the young driver.......... oh weve had a bad winter lets put the premiums up 10% for 25-40 year olds but 25% for the 17-24 year olds..... im 23 and the co-op are the best at the moment

Could be true this i was at a local vauxhall breakers last week for some door cards and they were £10 more than what they would normally be and asked why and the owner of the scrapyard says wanted parts for the corsa are back in demand after it died off for a couple of year but everyone its after parts for them now.

Well when I was looking, my 1.2 16v was insurance group 2 and the equivalent Fiesta (which was one of these http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201130407128529/sort/priceasc/usedcars/model/fiesta/make/ford/page/1/radius/1501/postcode/s354fw/keywords/zetec?logcode=p ) is group 5, and barely faster
