If you don't have a rotary or DA then AutoGlym SRP is by far the best! I have just done mine, well am about 1/4 through it!
You can get 1L of the stuff from halfords for £15ish I have already ploughed straight through a bottle of 325ml and that did just the rear quater, and that still isnt finished.
It was voted last year and this year as the best hand applied polish
I am on my phone right now but I will upload some photos of mine later, before and after

Here you go.
This is with a basic wash, dry and clay of the area. The area was then polished once by hand with AG SRP with no wax or selant.
I have gone over the area a few more times since and its much much better. I will go over it with some AG EGP and then some Col.
Also bearing in mind my iPhone hasnt taken the best picture in the world!

Use some G3 followed up with any decent polish and seal with a good wax.
