ive done ecotec pipe conversion and ive been told i need 1 with a sensor? is this the corect piece for setup on c20xe

you dont need one with a sensor you just have the noramal eco tec pipe on the top of your thorottle bodie then your air flow meter followed by a pipe similar to what you have shown on ebay but with no holes for sensors etc and then the air filter well thats what i always use anyway

yeah thats what im trying to check on how esential this sensor is and if its the right 1 for the loom because as far as im concerned any pipe with an induction kit on should be fine?

yeah on a c20xe the only sensor that should be anywhere from the air filter to the top hat is the air flow meter any others can be dis regarded, you could buy that pipe and leave the sensor in place to bung the hole up but it doesnt need to be connected to anything

Thats wrong information.
If it is a later type c20xe that has dispac instead of a distributor and runs motronic 2.8 it needs the air temp sensor plugged in and working or it will throw up a faultlight and run crap
