Bought some wheels and found that I need to use a differnt type of nut to achive the correct fitment.

Only ones I can find so far are like so, anyone used any like this? Just a bit concerned about them rounding off etc




Also what colour would look good black, red, silver

i like them, should be alright as long as your carefull and keep an eye on them wear wise

Fairly sure I use them exact nuts on my mr2, I got mine from rare rims for abou £20ish.

I only got them as a tempoary solution to for my wheels as they required slim/tuner nuts so I got these. But I can't really fault them. I am still using them now.

Wheel nuts aren't meant to be mega tight anyway 100nm or so shouldn't round off

heard of lots of them chewing the threads and often coming loose due being aluminium...

a couple mates have had issues of having to re torque them weekly due to them working slightly more loose than what they should be

I have had them come loose a couple of times. Had a hot lap at the ring then drove down the road and the wheel sounded like it was going to fall off, all nuts bar one was loose! It's happened a few times, I thought it was just the paint getting hot around the nuts or something

Shouldnt round off as long as correct sized tool is used.
Id say go with red

We're not idiots. Notably the ultralite ones were worse than any others used...

dont go for them end off standard wheel nuts and powder coat them black wee has to cuta set of aluminum wheel nuts off a subaru over the weekend and it wasnt pretty if these are steel they might be ok but i would still go for standards.

standards dont fit these wheels though, otherwise I wouldnt be wasting my money

Had some of those type nuts on the VR6 when i first got it, looked like they'd been on for a while and were still fine to use
