What washing machine do you have? Which would you recommend?
Ours has gone kaput and i'm not sure whether to buy a refurbished one from a decent local repair man along with warranty for about £150...
Or go out and buy a brand newy?
Dont have a clue whats reliable and what isnt though!

I've got an indesit (sp) 3 years old, sale at b&q and it's been awesome. Never skipped a beat.
Far too much money new!!

Just bought a Bosch one. Brand new on eBay. Was fitted to a new build and they didn't want it. £203 - retail price is over £300. Reliable too apparently!

Mine's a 1600 spin which I only used once because it creased everything so much it all needed washing again. Probably just get a normal one next time.

I have a samsung. Seems to do the job well. Only downer is the small 5kg drum but its fine for 2 people. Was 250 quid new.

Only ever bought one so can't comment, an indesit the christmas before last, it still working okay. Others have been built in, as its a rental property.
When I worked in Currys some years back, everybody bought the cheapest, or the one thats on offer.... don't think it really matters about quality, just whether or not you want it to flash a screen at you or have a bigger drum make them more expensive.

We bought a Beko one recently, can't remember the model number but it's great and has a LCD display that tells you how long of the cycle there is left to go, even does hand wash/duvet washes too (8KG I think it is, or 9KG, again I can't remember  ).
Wasn't cheap though, but we saved quite a bit of money buying it from some place online instead of from Currys.
Before that we had a secondhand Indesit for about 2 years, it was smaller and had serious mould issues towards the end of its life - but I think that was to do with how the previous owner maintained it (i.e. they didn't).

Mine is built in, paid extra when i bought this place. It's FUCKING SHITE! I've had to iron stuff for the past 19 months of living here 
If you do a lot of camping etc, you can throw in your seeping bags in a washer with a large drum. The faster spin will get more water out.
Mine is a small drum - bollocks!

Got a Whirlpool 1600 from my dad as a hand me down. He thought it was broke so bought a new one, turns out this one just needed the door seals cleaning
Really good. I only ever run it at 1200 spin though else the timber floors in this place start to bounce.

Except everything in littlewoods is much more expensive in the first place
We've got a Hoover, must be at least 5 or 6 years old now and has never had any issues

I recently bought an LG washer dryer.
Other than a fault that had never been seen before, (fixed thanks to barnshaw)
Its the best machine ive ever owned.
Its mega pricey at £700+ but it is the bollocks!

From watching my mum buy about a million washing machines, the couple of hundred quid ones are the best, the more expensive ones break more often and they fancy features never get used.
