I was thinking of getting Fallout 3 then saw this New vegas, which one is better?

New Vegas is the most recent but 3 is loads better.

Fallout 3 is leaps and bounds better.
Also, dont like most people when starting the game think that its some piece of shit, you have to go though the motions at the beginning and when you get out the vault thats when the fun starts. i know people that have stopped playing thinking the game is as crap as the first small bit.

I love these games to death, about 100 hours on Fallout 3 and all the DLC.
Now the same on New Vegas.
One thing pissed me off the other night though. In old world blues i shot dude in the face with the .50cal......
He took 3 shots at point blank range to die... WTF!

It's based on character strength, hence why bullets don't always kill you.

yeah but still ive got 100 skill on guns and a .50cal at point blank range, 3 shots?
In future I hope they make it a bit more realistic. Maybe an extension of hardcore mode?

new vegas would of been so much better if you had a car and didn't have to go through so many loading screens.
actually thought the exploring and amount of different places/environments was pretty epic, just the bits in between and some of the shooting i didn't like

3 Has the better atmosphere I'll grant you but everything else was better in New Vegas.
More guns, a greater variety of enemies, a much improved levelling system and you don't spend 3 quarters of the game in the fucking sewers.

I've never had a problem with Vegas (360) Really need to crack on with it as its dragging on now. I just hate the failed quests when you start siding

I had a go, bit disappointed that the screen went blank actually. Just like it did with Nova in Megaton
