The debt didn't come from player transfers Its the cost of some Americans buying you in a manner that means they don't have to put their own money in.

Although you could argue our most successful spell has been under the Glazers ownership which in turn means having the debt!

It's a ridiculous amount of money that 25% may go for, that must surely go a long way to clearing some of the debts,
