Corsa faster no doubt, Clio has zero torque you have to have clear road to extract any kind of performance from it.

Clio handles better, still not 100% tested but it's very impressive flat flat flat no understeer at all but I'm comparing to Corsa VXR that obviously has far more torque.

Clio brakes are immense

Clio driving position is lovely, perfect.

Mini is better than both

this argument is pointles in a modifying forum when u think about it a standard clio may handle better than a standard corsa vxr but when ether car is messed with paformans wise with hight ext ext it all becomes a copleate different leage

yes but this is a level playing field, standard vs standard.

modifying one to outperform the other makes it an unfair test.

Its not an argument, its an opinion based on experience and observation. Modifying them is irrelevant as he is comparing standard for standard.

vxr is arguably best looking though, end of the day still dont get why everyone on this site seems ADDICTED to handling its as if this is all that matters.......

being a member of this site has forced me to only consider whether its worthy of cornering like a field mouse when choosing a new car. so funny

I'd rather it felt fast than handled slightly better than a faster car.

It's all about handling for the nurburgring elitists though.

Id rather a car that handles better than goes fast if i had to choose. Hence I'd choose the Clio over all of them.

Rather both though

Bet the Clio driven properly would win in a race though.

5th Gear review says Clio is faster on the track as the Corsa is a bit 'soft' in comparison.

I'm still not convinced by that review, the Clio has infinitly better brakes, but it just doesn't have the grunt, no where near.

Do they all have autolights and wipers? My ones got 6 disc changer and upgraded stereo system, shame it hasn't got iPod connection though

having a fast car that dont handle is crap you are dead right but amongst the contenders in this conversion none are that bad lets face hence my reasoning

I didn't say doesn't handle, I said handles slightly better.

I'm not likely to go on track so as long as the handling is good enough that I don't die, quicker off the lights is more important.

the vxr is not faster? vxr's are head to head with me in the 207 gti and clio's have slightly more legs
