i was wondering if it was a legal to still drive my car if its not clocking the car milage as my speedo and milage aint working till ive got it fix next week

You'll be fine, speedo doesn't have to be working for an mot. As long as the instrument lights work.

it is illegal to sell it knowing it hasn't clocked any mileage up, same with clocking a car to reduce the mileage, but not to drive it.

on a side note
does coasting in neutral add mileage, random thought earlier i have no idea where the speed sensor is

Speed sensor's on the diff so yes it does add mileage.

i broke the connection on my mr2 when i rebuilt the engine, its been through 2 mots and ive been driving it until last weekend befor ei bothered to fix it.
