and wondered why there so popular Was an R reg VTR and everything about it was cheap looking. The fan swith and everything looked so crap, the pedals are so close 2gether and the clutch has a weird bit at the top and i could easily press the accelerator and brake at the same time with one foot. The electric window switch is also in a thick place and the mechanic that was working on it took it for a spin and couldn't believe how slow it was. No offence to anyone who likes the saxo or owns one but this is just my opinion.

Yes, they feel very slow.

I test drove one about a year ago, this was a brand new one (98bhp model).

I got back in my SXi and thought it felt faster.

I dont mind them, driven both a mk1 and mk2.

But the pedals are too close, and does feel like your sitting in a bit of alluminium!

A few of my mates have them so I sit in them almost everyday and have drove both VTR and VTS. Must say my corsa felt better to drive but I do like them.

Nothing wrong with the VTS a good handling package with not so shabby performance straight out of the box.
