Going down to London from Llandudno in a few weeks (6th) and just had a look at prices and times etc to buy tickets in advance....

£66 single, £520 return Not even a weekend, its on a Tuesday!

Oh and First Class Business is £784

Was expecting £150 max, but £520, could probably pay a taxi driver to get it less, or even a trip to airport, fly there and back and drive home wouldn't be much more than a few hundred. Where do they come up with their prices?

They have been for a bit now. Sheffield to London was nearly £100 for me last year. Aren't they hiking the fares up again soon aswell?

Trains are proper shit these days.

Me and a mate were gonna get a train down to birmingham at the weekend, but it was going to be £115 each.

Found out its cheaper to fly. Only £52 each.

Peak time costs I imagine.

Do the journey after 10am and I bet it'll be less.

I do think they are expensive though. But the alternatives are spending probably twice as long in the car or 3 times as long sat on a crappy bus or flying down but then having to get transport to and from the airport at both ends anyway

It had risen in 18 mins not dropped. Changed the sim card in it, as I lost it on Saturday at the races and was using a spare untill o2 sorted it. All sorted now though
