Why the fuck did they bring in such a stupid rule that if you false start once you're out? Absolutely farcical and they've robbed the greatest sprinter of all time a medal because of it.

I heard Johnson on Channel 4 and he said it's because of TV schedule's, please tell me that isn't true? Fucking joke of a rule

He's the only reason a lot of people watch the track athletics, and they essentially screwed him out of it.

(also Dwain Chambers lost out in the semis from a false start)

I heard it was a mixture of TV and that some athletes were using a false start up on purpose to disrupt the field in the hope that the fav would then false start and get DQ'd themselves.

A female brit as well, I can't spell her name

Seriously though, you're going to have athletes just giving it in. Why would you sacrifice absolutely everything pursuing a dream when it can be taken away from you for twitching a thousand of a second too early?

Fucking joke, does FIFA run athletics?

should take it back to 2 false starts per person then.

If it is TV then that's ridiculous, the mens 100m is the showpiece of any athletics event, and it's only on for 10seconds anyway, not like it takes a lot of time!

Has to change before London surely?! People are paying thousands to watch the 100m Final and not for the winner to be the one who stays in their blocks as opposed to the fastest person.

I'm really not sure on the 'Blade Runner' (best nickname in sport?) - It's really difficult trying to regulate his flippers and whether they're a real human substitute or super spring loaded giving him a massive advantage

blade runner i think it's cool. surely there must have been scientific tests and shit done to determine whether he gets any advantage?

they did query whether he got any lactic acid build up as he quite clearly got quicker towards the end.

wouldn't mind having carbon fibre legs myself actually

Sweaty snatch.

Be like rubbing sand paper on your face if you had them after she'd done the long jump.
