Hi guys,

Every time previously i've painted calipers i've used hammerite, for those that remembered it flaked off after a hot day at combe out on track, the silver on my current brakes is hammerite and is now gold after Donnington.

I have some aluminium high temperature paint here, should that do the trick?

Has anyone used any other paints from Halfords that have worked ok?

Cheers Rob

If you find anything decent post it up. Fed up repainting calipers everytime they get slightly hot. Given up now but they're supposed to be red and more like burnt red/black and flaking off

Going to try this, Paint them then put them in the oven at max temperature for 30 minutes.

Only thing is it depends what colour you want mate?

They only do the paint in a few colours.

Bugger no red, might just do em black anyway. Problem is where they're only standard calipers everytime I change pads they chip etc where all the clips & stuff have to come off

also worth noting, some of these paints need to be baked first to achieve the proper heat protection
