I've searched confused.com and they have all gone up again for the third year running. All in or around the same price.

Try saying it's kept on the road rather than the drive, it's often cheaper

Being 50 with 30 years no claims and driving a Fiat Cinquecento wouldn't make it a grand cheaper either

Its probably the Liverpool postcode thats bumping extra on it.

They probably see that and think it will be nicked and burnt out in within 6 months.

My Astra is £450 a year.

It's a city so will be more in any event. What annoys me most is 2 years ago it was £700 odd, 1 year ago it was £1,000 and this year it is over £1,200. It's increasing every year despite my NCD going up etc.

NCD going up doesn't mean your premium should necessarily be cheaper thanthe current year. All it means is you get more % off the true technical rate when your time to renew comes round.

No it's not. You may not have been at fault but you still ended up having an accident. This could be 100% coincidental and unavoidable or it could be down to how you and/or others in the areas that you drive.

I hate insurance, I live in a high risk area so I have to downsize and go for a little 1.3 diesel.

Sucks that some nabs in your area affect your policy, would be nice if they just had a set rate when you start driving and asses your price based opon your previous years driving and of course the vehicle in question.

Insurance groups don't seem to matter at the lower end of the scale either, group 13 corsa B 1.4 sport is cheaper then a 1.2 sxi group 7 corsa C..

when its non fault did you actually claim through your policy or from a third parties policy? i see this a lot, people putting non fault claims on their policy when they dont have to, a non fault claim would be like if you went out to your car in the morning to find it smashed up from a hit and run and had to claim for the repairs. not you fault but you claimed on your own policy
