I'm just interested to see what problems people have had go wrong on this car.

I'm very disapointed with mine. The following have gone wrong with mine. most of it in the second year of ownership.

i've had the car 18 months and 16k miles since new and the following have failed or broke...

First year

1st Trip: Wippers needed replacing after 2 months

2nd trip: squeeky clutch. clutch pedal assembly had to be rebuilt and greased

3rd Trip: Brakes squeled. new rear wheel cylinder needed. original leeking

Second Year

4th Trip: Heater only worked on speed four. Coil was broken so new was ordered. had to wait for part. fixed eventually

5th trip: Steering coloum rattles. New lower cloum needed

6th Trip: Central locking started unlocking itself. Needed new drivers door solinoid. old one had broke

7th Trip: Main beem stopped working on passenger side headlight. Fuse fine. Bulb fine. wiring at fault.

things i havent taken it back for cause i cant be bothered: Fog lights show damp, and rear pasanger light holds water.

It now rattles lots. i've never changed anything on it and cant be bothered with it any more. it is cack

On my old Sxi (51 plate) i had the following:

-Electric Window on the left sticking and not going completely up - 2 trips, 1st one they used WD40 which got rid of the problem for 1 week, 2nd trip they replaced rubber channels
-Drivers door sounded like it was going to fall off - They tighened up the nuts on the sliding hinge
-When i got it serviced at vauxhall i asked them to tighten the handbrake cable so the handle didn't go through 180degrees to put it on - when i got home the handbrake only worked on one of the wheels, so i had to take it back for them to adjust
-Rev limitor kicked in at 4,000Rpm and the engine kept gaining and loosing power, the light to say it has a fault came on as well - the problem was the crank shaft end had worn down, so the sensor wasn't reading anything.

On my 3 week old Sxi i've only had a squeeky clutch, they are at the moment stripping it down and geasing it all up, which involves removing the steering column, 2 days work

-new wipers
-new steering rack
-skweaky clutch#
-noise from rear brakes
-air bag warnig light / new connection
part needed
-window seals leaked when i got it

to name but a few, however ive been well impressed so far (touch wood) of the speed of gettin the car in and gettin a replacment for the duration of the time its in.

thats prob why its so good coz theyve had loads of chance to perfect thier service coz theyve had so many problems to practice with.
