i had avos on mines but they came in black so was just a case of keeping copper slip on the threads and everyone once in a while cover a few stonechips to stop them going rusty, fuckers where £1k at the time so wanted to keep them mint for as long as possible

Iv'e read about using copper grease on the threads. Thought it would make a bit of a mess under the arches

What coilovers are the new ones?
Decent coilovers now come with a chromium coating to prevent corrosion and rust. Those new ones look like bare steel though...

The Gaz were shit tbh. they were leaking and all sorts. seems a common problem with them. they've got a 2 year anti rust guarantee, so im guessing they're anodised. but i still want to protect the threads from getting ruined
they're vmaxx coilovers, not the best i know. its a stop gap until i can afford a better set up.

I've got a set of these on my car there pretty good, I put copper grease around the thread, seems to have done the trick they haven't seized up or anything and had them on for over a year now

the GAZ started leaking badly, so what it would have cost me to get them repaired i bought these instead. cut my losses on the Gaz and sold those cheap.

GAZ would of been under £100 to get them sorted, for a better ride, more adjust ability and don't have the SHIT slotted hole on the fronts.
