iv just fitted a mantzel powerbox to replace my old homemade one that was leaking air but since fitting the mantzel i start the car it goes stright to 2-3000 rpm ?? and idles there iv changed the idle control and throttle position sensor and no change help please as im needing to use the car tonite

Sounds exactly like you've got an air leak did you renew the gaskets?

hmm yea new gasket iv checked and doubled checked cant find the leak had the box off and on like 20times now checking everything

Tried spraying carb cleaner around to see if the revs drop?

id agree with the above

if still no joy check the temp sensor in the side of the thermostat, i broke mine once and it idled all over the place and ran like a dog

Did you shorten the alternator bolt?

It will sit wonkey and won't seal.

is the throttle stuck open? as in is the cable not letting it shut fully,

what corsadonk says

dont know if its a problem with the fakes, but that bolt gets in the way of the proper mantzels. carb cleaner will help you find the leak
