After having my littlen - The KA, Is just far too small! Been looking around and seen this and quite like the look of it! Bit too low for my liking but that can be changed!

Anyone had one? What they like to live with and whats the main things too look out for!

main things are headlights steaming up, any diff noises, and make sure all the dash works but they are mostly bomb proof.

the 2.0 straight 6 only has 150bhp so not quick and you probably wont see over 30mpg.

built like a tank they feel really safe and do handle well for what they are.

Get it, it will last for fucking ages with the stuff done to it.
The 2L 6 pot engines are the most uneconomical out of the 6 pots though.

One car I've always wanted to own for a month or 2 is a E39 528. Lovely places to be, a world apart from a KA

Well the coilovers will make it stiff but still comfy compared to any small hatchback.

My brother's got a 528. They're a nice car, plenty of creature comforts and plenty of space for getting the little 'en strapped in etc.

The only things I've heard of to watch for are auto boxes, apparently they don't like too much mileage. My brother's needs some attention atm and his was already changed for a lower mileage box not that long before he bought it ( I think the box is coming up on 100k now). The other thing, which seems to be a general BMW thing, is leaky radiators.

Edit: Oh and some of the derv variants, I think they have a variable inlet and the flaps break loose and end up in the bores, causing lots of expensive damage.

Dad had a 530i msport. Tints and Alpinas was a bit of a pimp mobile. Loved driving it so much space yet still handled brilliantly and felt like it was honed from granite
