Is the food they sell any good? I'm assuming it's pretty much anything you can buy in Tesco etc.?

Yeah but it's a cash and carry so a lot of items are catering sizes, boxes of mars bars etc...

It's worth it for me just for the cafe and dinner time at work. Bought plenty from there such as TV's (free 5 year warrenty on them now), jeans, car oil etc.. In fact one of the best bargains I ever got from there was the car oil. 3 x 1 ltr of Castrol Edge for £11.50. 1ltr alone sells for £15 in Halfords. Needless to say I bought a lot

I'm in almost every week. Get the usual meat, milk etc but they've normally got something new in to have a look at.

Easy to spend over 100 quid every time you go for some mince though

Sounds good!

Is anyone going in there tomorrow BTW? Would be curious if someone could find me the price for a Bosch car battery as I was about to get one from Euro Car Parts tomorrow

some of the stuff is pointless for normal people who don't own corner shops.

always loads of paki's in there stocking up.

i get my contact lenses from there and they also sell the microfibre cloths cheap, which is handy.

the cakes/muffins/meat are great too.

oh and car batteries, £55 for mine (bosch) as opposed to £100 in halfords.

Me and the missus are on it.

You need to buy quite a bit of gear to cover the fee, but if you do it's pretty good value.

Cigarettes are £1 a pack off so that pays for mine

It's not that cheap though.

I can buy 99% of the Costco stuff in my 1 mile away sainsburys.

Factor in the 20 mile round trip to Costco, and suddenly it isn't such great value.

TV's are usually very well priced, especially the special offers they do and also the 5 year warranty makes them very good value.

Most of the electronic stuff seems well priced tbh, but always worth checking.

You will also get booklets with vouchers in and sometimes they have them on TV's ipods and other items which makes them very good value

I just never have any money at the time they come on offer

I've never really bought anything from them other than things like their butcher meat, chicken, big packs of Irn Bru etc...

Find a lot of the things you would think would be cheap like tellys can be had elsewhere for much cheaper. Their booze is vastly over prices as well, you're cheaper buying spirits out of off licences.
