Should do, if anything, you may get stopped at customs and just explain what it is, can't see them taking it off you. Just put some flippers and other swimming stuff in aswell so its not just a random knife on its own and nothing to back your story up.

You can transport firearms on planes in the hold so i think you'll be OK with a knife

Yes you can, I had to go on a college trip to Manchester Airport once, someone who worked there said they only scan for things that would resemble drugs or bombs, he said knifes and guns get through

i got a bottle of calpol took off me because the bottle held more than 150ml even though the bottle was only half full but the bottle of antibiotics that was with it was fine
