Morning everyone

Bumblebee's current XE is on the way out, did try sourcing a LET (supposedly a workmate had someone selling for £400.....this turned out to be total bollocks)

So now have been searching for a replacement XE as i cant stretch to LET money

Been offered an XE at a reasonable price but just have to check something

I have the earlier dizzy type engine, the one being offered is the later dispack type (without loom/ecu)

Owner of the possible new engine says i can swap the dizzy and exhaust cam from my old XE to the new one? is that possible?? or is it a bit of a headache?

Any light shed on the subject would be great

it is possible yes, not sure exactly what parts need to be swapped over though

Fit ur inlet etc, and just swap ex cam and dizzy from old engine on to new, happy days

one good thing i can see coming out of this aswell as a new lump is while its out i suppose i best do that breather mod to the rocker cover

Easy enough to do but its more then just the cam and coilpack that are different though.

injectors
throttle body
afm
air temp sensor (not on dizzy)
coil pack (not on dizzy)
ign amp (different on dizzy)

You need to swap all of those if you want to use your dizzy ecu and loom.

fitting the inlet from your old xe complete with everything on it as phil said is a good shout.

Well i will have all these to hand one way or another (Inlet swap should be pretty straight forward) looks like i will be canabilsing 2 engines to get one good one lol

just make sure i get all the above off the guy selling the new engine, anything else i might need anciliries wise?
