Having some thoughts on this just now....

We currently have a TDV6 RRS HSE and want to trade up to a newer TDV8 RRS HSE.

Selling in a month or so should see these types of cars sell at a premium yes? BUT on the flip side buying one also incurs that premium :S

I'm just trying to figure out if we'd be able to sell the V6 this year and get by without one till March/April 2012 We dont really have another car thats on the road - but neither of us need a car for work. We wont really need it for any towing till March perhaps (and the 32 GTR is now fully road legal anyway).

So...

Sell one now, buy one early next year - maybe look for a shitey daily in the interim ( hmmmm ) ?
trade in march?

The cheap 4x4s tend to go up in value in winter, stuff below 5k. People go and panic buy them. Wouldn't of thought so much on a 20-30k Range Rover?

I've spent half a day driving one of those TDV8 RRS on and off road. What a car. They even sound good!

WTF?

I've made a thread with ideas to save money.... not ways to spend more.

Yup - car sales normally take a dive over christmas but realistically its going to be christmas before i'm home and ready to sell the current one. Overlap isnt a possiblity either
