Basicly i work in formby cycles. I also do some volunteer work for the local police to do with riding. Basicly take kids on trips to trails and skateparks things like that
Weve just been given a new leaflet to give out with all bikes
Basicly this website is kind of giant police database.
What you do is you register (for free) any and everything you have with a serial number to your address
Meaning that if theres ever any stolen goods retreived. They will come right back to you rather than going off to the police auctions
any and all bikes we sell we are trying to get them to register on this website
You know it makes sence so go and register your shit
Oh you can also buy yourself rfid chips and smart water sort of products off this website too
Rfids are awsome for the bikes, best thing to do for bikes

Seems a good idea. We had a number stamped on our bikes by the police when we were kids, guess this is a more high tech version.
Don't you say "basically" a lot?!

We check this a few times a day for the stuff that we find on people. It does work (at least here), so it is a good idea. And its only the Police that can search for registered items.
