The mint ones seem to go up for £1800 - £2k.
I want one but can't really justify paying that much for one.

Shite engines too. They are old pre crossflow engines with just a small ihi turbo bolted to them. . I had one a while ago and i spent most of the time off the road due to crap reliability. Good luck if you get one...you'l need it lol

I think thats all down to maintainence and thoughtful tuning?! or perhaps luck!

I cant remember any real issues with ours. It needed new plugs frequently but at about £10 for 4 ptfff.

Mates got one. Spends alot of it's time being fixed though and it's rotten as fuck. I would say most of the interior is broken too

the key word is opinion.

However the FACTS are not all are rubbish, treated well they will be OK, so if you take your own advice you will see previous posts on this forum of owners who have had no such problems within their ownership. I believe chris_uk was one of them.

Why not a starlet GT turbo? Much better performance (220hp with a hybrid turbo) and they are dirt cheap to insure unlike glanza's. But they are about 2.5k, my mate with a punto turbo wishes he bought my starlet.

Know someone who had a T5 turbo and think it was chipped too. Was running around 170bhp iirc.
