Did you make much money doing it. Got a crashed 2000 plate focus and wondered if it was worth bothering ?

Errrrr I dunno. Seen it loads but never paid it any attention. Don't think it has alloys so will assume it's not a very high spec one

in the middle of breaking my 172 for parts now. broke my corsa sport a year ago.
if its got desirable parts then yes, both my cars brought more money back in parts for me so i did that.
in less than 2 weeks ive shifted both cars parts.
i wouldn't have got over 1800-2k for my clio. ive had 3k back in parts for it.
same as when i broke my corsa, going rate for them then was 2k i broke mine for close to 4k

im in the middle of breaking my puma and made £577 so far, which isn't bad at all considering it would've only sold for £500 with a fucked gearbox maximum.

As the car is standard i am still not sure as there is nothing majorly desirable on it.

i don't factor in my time as i gain knowledge of things as i'm taking the stuff off so it's helping me.
postage isn't a problem as i get everything (boxes/wrapping) from work for free and my post office is on the way to work.

I split and sold the corsa for about £1500 all in, still have numerous bits of interior and ICE left but it got me more than scrapping it as it was. I still got £140 for the shell collected

Worth it if you have the time/space/patience/dont mind parts sitting around for ages and your drive/garden looking like a scrapyard
Be prepared for hundreds of timewasting bellends

I have a spare garage to store it in. Thought about spending a weekend pulling it apart and just storing all the parts. Don't even have eBay so better sign myself up. I am great at pulling things to bits....... Putting it back together is where I have issues

i used to work in a scrap yard and people were always ringing up for focus parts so must be a demand for some parts. worth doing if you have the space

I do it for a living. It all comes down to have you got the space and the time.
If you have no problems in removing that clip some bloke in France wants for £5 then go for it.
Alot of money to be made, which is the reason why the days have gone of £100 cars.
