Hi lads.

Fitted the redtop today

I brought a power steering mount but couldn't work out how to attach the pump..

Maybe an odd question but can u actually use the pump from x16xe?

And also I haven't put 2.0 litre brakes On yet.. Still have my 1.6 one with grooved discs. Is this un-advisable??

Thanks in advance. Aaron

If you have them for the small amount of time it takes to fit them stick the proper brakes on

If you have the 2.0l brakes then put them on 100%, although the 1.6 brakes would be decent enough for a while.

Cheers lads.. Yea I think I will do them next weekend.. Just had enough of working on the car this weekend to finally drive it last night for all of two mins and the inner cv on the passenger side to go pop and to top it off one of the heater matrix pipes popped off.. Naturally I shit myself lol.

On That note does anyone know a good place for prices on mk2 cav cv's?

Cheers

Just to confirm, It does need to be a XE pump.

Seeing as the 1.6 and 2.0 brakes are same size, just the 2.0 stuff has thicker discs and a larger piston, Id happly drive around on the 1.6 stuff providing I didn't start getting brake fade, Just stop hammering it then.
