Veered into Edward and Rossi. Hit them both, helmet came off, lay motionless. Sad times

As grim as it sounds. Is there a video?

Such a shame, he was a very talented rider!

Bad times for motorsport. It's clear this one was just a terrible accident though, can't remember seeing anyone lose the front and carve back across like that, normally just washes out.

No doubt that he would have been one if the greats. It's gruesome seeing him slide across that track with no helmet. R.I.P

Gutted, Marco had the makings of a true champion, always seemed a character around the track and who couldn't love his afro!

Horrible, horrible accident the last week has really shown how dangerous Motorsport can be!

Can't believe how long it's taken anyone to get to him!

Great rider

Knew it was all over when the helmet was off. Common occurance in motorbike racing - Craig Jones, Tomizawa and now Simo.

Horrible (

The helmet coming off is the worst bit, when my helmet is on it will not come off unless you release ir properly, the force to rip it off mjust have been massive.

My dad says the last time he remembers seeing a helmet roll across a track was years ago, and the poor guys head was still in it.

Guessng that the impact from Rossi/Edwards smashed/split his helmet.

Looking at the replay, the guy in black takes a big hit to the head from Simoncelli's bike too, lucky he walked away from it.

That's a weird accident. Helmet coming off is a total freak thing to happen, kind of wish I hadn't watched the video now. RIP.
