What are your opinions on this?

Having an argument in the office and the arsenal fans think chesney is the best.

Apart from his mistake at Arsenal, the new Swansea keeper looks to be a bit good at shot-stopping!

Chesney is not the best GK in the League. It's Reina or Cech.

The 'all day long' bit is debatable though IMO.

Not really got any world class keepers in the PL now VDS has retired. Chesney probably will be, de Gea probably will be. But they are just potential at the moment.

Cech is not as good as he was.

Nothing to bite. I don't think there are world class keepers in this league now. Cech is probably still the best. Then Hart, Reina, Chesney.

What about if you gave Robinson, Given and Howard* top 4 defenders?

* Actually we have already been there!

This is a very important point. As with many players - what he has round him is also very important.

keeper in top team has 2 saves to make and makes them.
keeper in bottom team had 10 saves to make 3 fail thus they loose.

Whos the better keeper??? - not always clear cut.

As for best I would say..

Reina - Best shot stopper
Cech - Best All round
Given - 2nd best shot stopper

Un-proven but could be top IMO

Hart - Not enough big games where he has made a difference so far.
Szcesny - Already made some crucial match winning saves this year although way too inexperienced

Add best distribution to Reina too, and probably level on commanding his box with Cech.

For a keeper VDS was bloody good with the ball at his feet and his distribution was awesome too. Gotta keep the faith with de Gea though, after a crap start he is looking much more comfortable. Will make a better judgement after a full season or 2.

He's 20 and first season in Prem. He'll come good.
