I have read the tutorial today on this and thought I'd give it a go only to find that my car doesn't have this wire? Its an 1999 SXi model, would it be a different wire on mine? I cut them all from that extra block but the date is still disappearing when I switch my headunit on.
Please help!

you need to cut the red/grey wire, it will be there.

is it on the side which goes no where or one the main ISO side? I got the impression it was the side which nothing plugs onto.

no, its on the main iso block.
if its on the one nothing plugs into, think about it, whats the point in cutting it?

Which wire is it from the stereo that plugs into the red/grey wire? You'd get the same effect by cutting this wire, right? This is just incase i need to put the standard stereo back in!
