Anybody here use these?

Are they any good or a waste of money?

Use them in places we can't get wires or wifi.
They work fine, I wouldn't use them over cat5 though.

So with the wireless ones I presume one plug goes near the router and connects to it with CAT5, and the other one goes wherever you want?

Any particular brands to go for/avoid etc.?

That's it, we've got a few DeVolo's dotted about which seem to work ok.

I've got the Belkin Gigabyte ones, tbh i find them really good, connect one to the mains and plug into the router, and then the other one is in the bedroom upstairs plugged into the mains and going to the Desktop PC. They are perfect for streaming HD films from the PC to the PS3 (PS3 plugged into the router)

I found mine hit and miss. Worked really well for ages then just slowed right down, tried a new set and they were the same. It was somethin to do with my home electrics
