I bought my old works van and sold it on as i don't really have a use for it. Yesterday i got home to a £70 parking ticket with clear photos printed.
I sold the van 3 weeks ago and sent off the V5 to the DVLA who clearly have not updated there records.
Where do i stand and what do i do?
I've not got the ticket with me as we go up late this morning so it will be Monday when i start phoning around.

Call them and tell them? They'll tell you what you need to provide.

normally you will need to provide proof of sale, full details of the person you sold it to and the copy of the fine.
ive just had one come, the fine was issued in august, yet i sold the car in april.

You need proof of sale & contact dvla to request written Proof that you wernt the registered keeper of the van when the ticket was produced otherwise the ticket will stand and you'll be liable to pay it.
