I made a post back at the start of summer which was pretending to ask for advice on a potential car purchase which was a 2010 Civic Type S 1.8 Petrol.
In honesty (as someone pointed out at the time) I'd already decided that I was going to buy the Type S, I just wanted someone on CS to justify my decision
I was advised to pick up a Type R instead, or a Golf, or something else which was more car for the money - but I ignored it all.
Anyway, few months later - I got bored, and tomorrow I pick up a 60 plate Milano Red CTR
I know they're not everyones cup of tea, and there are much better BHP/£ cars out there - but I love this shape Civic, and none of the other hot hatches come close for me aesthetically.
So not asking for justification this time, just letting the good people of CS that I was wrong - and I should have listened to you in the first place

The Type R looks so much nicer than any of the others. The only one I'd consider. Looks nice

Ive had one of these for a year now, I went for it as ive always wanted a CTR, but they aint as fast as you may think, struggle with turbos once they get going, even new Fabia 1.4 Tsi is as quick.
However the plus points are the handling is good, love the toys and the noise, forever at the petrol station though as I only manage 250 miles for £60
getting a 60 plate must have cost a fair whack? 2nd hand ones are going cheap as chips nowadays
Expensive to tune though, be looking at a few K's for 40bhp

I bought one of these a couple of months ago and love it.
Coming from my old TT quattro, its totally different to drive. Hard to get used to at first, and frustrating slightly. But when it's on song it's brilliant flinging it around.
I kept up with and eventually passed a CLS55 AMG, in a fairly epic 15 mile chase up North one Sunday afternoon.

It weighs nearly 2 tonnes, so had to brake far earlier than me and couldn't carry the same speed as i was.
Chasing it and passing was the most fun i've had in a car.

I find the brakes pretty poor in the civic, have you made any upgrades on your car?

Love the FN2 shape Just wish they made them a bit quicker! Rested on their laurels with it. The RR is something special though!

I agree with speed
Flash Pro = around £500 + £250 to tune
HKS RSK induction filter £300
Cat Back = £500
£1500 for just 20/25bhp lol
