joined the MPG gang yesterday.

Have been looking at getting a cheap runner for the last few weeks

found this local to me.

1.9D, 99k, 13 months MOT, loads of new parts just fitted and a cambelt

The tow bar was the selling point and 60MPG

its actually nice to drive a car that doesnt drink fuel, and you dont have to worry about it.

Love a work horse

everyone else share their bargain cars

That is all.

its actually nice to drive a quiet car that doesnt have a loud exhaust on it and just blends in with traffic. doesnt require frequent petrol stops and is dirt cheap to run.
the 172 was too much to run doing the millage i was, so this is perfect.
wont loose any money on it and i can start putting money away
i'll keep it for a 12 month or a little more then sell it.

Not bad for 800 at all, best i had waz a clio i bought for £40 with a bit of accident damage. It had 11 months mot and tax. Spent £80 on parts to fix it, drove it round for couple of months and sold it for 600

the only other cheap runner i bought was a clio 1.2 last year. bought it for peanuts, taxed and mot'd it and sold that for 550.
made a nice profit in a week on that. hoping i can make money off this when im done with it

55-60 its averaging.

supposed to be better than the 1.5d on the motorway, but around town the 1.5 is better. makes sense really.

something around 105 miles on £12 im doing. not bad. maybe a bit cheaper.
its good, 4 new tyres, new disks and pads, 2 new springs, new full exhaust with warrenty, cambelt, a/c working.

its just nice not minding if you pick up a few scratches, dont have to worry about it. and tesco value car shampoo is classed as treating the car

Ha yer It does, it's great being
Able to load it with rubIsh and do tip runs but I now feel like I'm a taxi driver especially when I'm in 5 gear at 25 mph

bargain! my mates is more of a shed at £110. but he uses walls to stop when he parks, never locks it and it has black tape racing stripes.

it's the driving position of the 206 I can't stand, just feels strange. I'd have a 306 though, my mates got an old DTurbo, wish he'd wind the boost up on it though Seems to eat master cylinders mind, fuck knows what he's doing to it.

I've never had a problem with driving a french car, on sitting in a 206 it just feels wrong. 207 feels much better. I still want a 205 1.9 GTi one day
