I wanted something abit different than a land rover this year but something that will go in the snow, tow a trailer and be comfy at the same time. It's a 2.5tdi 180 sport Quattro, it's not as easy on the juice as a 1.9tdi but that really doesn't bother me too much.

Town I get 32mpg and 42mpg on a run. Sounds like a derv on tick over, but not when you toe it. Nice drive though. Few mods planned too nothing major though

Get alot of car for your money with an e39 these days. Even the m5's are reasonable. I'd have had a 330d e46 not ideal for snow though

I just don't fancy driving the Evo in the snow, I didn't last year. This is enough to get me work and back safely.

Yeah still got the Evo matt

I'm not sure why people are getting so wound up about it being shit in the snow, I can't see it being too bad, but I'll stand corrected if I'm told as to why their so shit.

Was from a thread a few weeks back, everyone who had never driven a quattro was convinced it was shit

Nice runaround anyway
