Had a quote for top quality British made shutters on two 5 sided bay windows and it was £3450
So now thinking about just having curtains.
The previous owners used those cheap plastic gliding things, I want something meaty and metal.
Has anyone else got bay windows and what have you done?

John Lewis do pole bending and shit too.
If anyone has any pictures of their then that would be nice.
Just had another shutter quote and it was £500 cheaper per window and just as good quality. hmmmm

I just got some poles and curtains for my bedrooms from Dunelm Mill. Can't help with the bay but the range was bloody huge.
Normally people have the curtain track all boxed in on the bay windows but that is a bit old fashioned IMO.

I have a 3 sided bay and had to get curtains made for it in the end. Were about £300 from memory with lining.
They say that you get the width x 1 x 2 to make sure the curtains dont sit flat and can be gathered well.
I bought a metal 3 sided bay pole for £150 from a local curtain retailer.

I think we got our poles from Next
Curtains were made by my mum
There will be photos somewhere in here, but I can't see them at work

We can't have poles because there is no wall space to mount them on the ceiling.
And no one seems to do ceiling mounted poles with passing rings.
In the end I bought a shit load of track from Ikea and planned to saw it all.
But that's going back.
Now I've got aluminium track which is bendable and I'm going to mount two together with a double ceiling bracket.
Think I'll get a decent pole for the downstairs bay though as there is wall space there.
