Not an issue with me, I suppose it would depend on the partners attitude towards money tbh. I make it so we have the same disposable cash, even though I earn more. I don't know how I'd feel about her putting more towards the house if it were the other way round?!

I hope my other half starts earning more than me soon, she hardly earns anything at the moment and makes me skint!

last missus was (at the time) on £11,000 + tips and bonus above what I earned and never had a penny spare, used to miss paying into our Mortgage account at Christmas and then spend 6months paying off her missed payment. She never had a penny, squandered it like it grew on trees. After we split up, I got a debt collection agency letter to my house for her for a store card debt of £500ish.
New missus is on £11k less than me (although she has bonus etc on top so probably more like £5k less) but is sensible with money, has a good car, two rental properties and horses.
I would rather have someone earning less than someone who couldn't look after their money.
