im wanting to put r1 carbs on my 1.4xe is there a way of putting on a distributor?

No reason why not you just need to time it, nothing bolt on to fit it I don't think but no reason at all why it can't be done, you have cam and crank to use. Just needs some engineering.

It would be easier going mappable ignition, and wasted spark coil pack, like you've already got on your engine.
