cheaper, and although has slightly less CPU cores, they are faster.

The i7 is a 1st gen i processor and the i5 is a 2nd gen (sandybridge) processor. The i5 doesn't have a full hd screen or dedicated graphics though.

I'm sure you could get a 1st gen i7 laptop for cheaper than that? Have you looked on Dell outlet?

Medion are a budget brand of laptop TBH.

I'd go for a more well known brand as support will be better/easier.
