They're saying you can count the tomato sauce on the pizza as one serving of vegetables.

Yup, although it is in the Guardian - here.

It's just another ploy to make it appear American's are less the fat cunts that they are. It's similar to the British allowance on salt intake, iirc, the original figure was 4g daily which got upped to 6g.
