Anyone else have these at their work place?

If we have 3 separate days off at work from illness we get counciling

Then if we have another we get a disciplinary

3 disciplinarys and we're out the door! Utter, utter bollocks IMO

So you're allowed 9 days off sick per year and then you're out the door?

That's a bit harsh! You could be out of it for a week with a bit of manflu, or a bad back or something like that. Two of those in a year and you're gone?

Oh, sorry it's four days for a disciplinary.

Still I'd think again calling in with hangover headache!

9 separate days. Not 9 days off in one.

I've been there 7 months and had my second day off the other week and they said my next day off and I'll have councling

I don't think it's the days they sack you for it's the occasions..... We have the same at my place, 1 time is a informal discussion, 2nd is a sickness report, and 3rd is a disciplinary, I am currently on 7 weeks on 1 occasion

They do them at our work, Basically just asking why you were off and are you fit enough to carry on.

That makes much more sense, I still interpret his post to be my way though - which just sounds insane.

In my place (LA) it's a combination of events and days. IIRC it's 3 events and 17 days which instigate a 'review'

The review is started by a BTW interview in which the manager outlines the sickness record etc

Once you are out for more than 17 days on more than 3 occasions in one year the BTWI minutes trigger Occupational health envolvement
