Just been given by work a long hire on a corsa van and its is restricted to 66mph, any idea where it may be restricted?
im sure its not on the throttle, but thinking could it be the ecu or the tracking device?
Any ideas?

How does it respond once you hit 66?

I know it's a transit but mines limited and it's all done through the ecu now, assume it will be the same for the vaux range

would removing the speed sensor not stop it? just use a sat nav for the speedo, would be more accurate anyway

Not a good plan to deristrict it if it is on a tracker. Sorry to sound like a wet rag but it will stand out to the tracker watchers or lease company straight away and land you in hot water.

It just keeps going at 66. Its the same in 3rd, 4th or 5th. Doesnt matter what the revs are.
It would just be nice to have a little extra when overtaking, even if it was set for 70 as the sticker on the back says ,would be an improvement.
Do you think TECH 2 would be able to get round it, if it is in the ECU?

It will be restricted for a reason, ie fuel consumption Or insurance purposes so I would leave it, as If they discover you have had it removed/increased you will be in deep doo doo. you get used to it after a while, like I say my works van limited to 70 done 50k now over last 2 years, just sit back and relax, on the upside you can't get caught speeding on the motorway

This will be the same if you have it increased to 70 you will still want that little more for overtaking lol
