Other half has been looking at getting an electric blanket for these cold nights, Ive heard so much bad storys about them.
Are they that bad? anyone use one?

Used to have 1 for years, only used it now and again though. Never had any problems apart from forgetting to turn it off sometimes and waking up in the middle of the night sweating my bollocks off!

Can't fucking stand them! My ex used to have one coz she couldn't sleep if her body temp was less than the surface of the sun. I hate being warm in bed.

We use ours occasionally just to heat the bed up, the room is warm but the bed is always like a sheet of ice, however for some reason even though its a double blanket it doesnt fit the double bed and where the big ass plug sits in always ends up on my side, so I have to lay on a big lump 
It doesnt stay on while were in it mind,  @Pow and Carl, so true

My ex also used to have one that she used to sleep with on all night. Fucking stupid. Used to be able to hear the sound of her skin frying. Tiiiissssshhhhhhh
