Seeing as the law changed this year

I buy a few cars from family members, service/tidy them up and sell them on

Got another coming wednesday and should have it sold via ebay in a week or 2. Want to keep it on my drive but really dont see the point in insuring it for a stupid amount of time. It wont be leaving my house til its sold

Im thinking if I register it to "mark hunter" at my address or any other fake name, then no one could fine me anyway lol?

If its taxed it must be insured.

They'll probably query the name if you don't supply a licence number and that name isn't on any other records.

To do it all legally it needs the tax cashing and SORNing.

Only has a month left tho, so who ever buys it will take into consideration that it will need tax in a month anyways. same as sorn will still need tax either way. Up to you but that's what I would do lol

if it's only sitting for a couple weeks then it'll be fine.

my puma was sat for a month with tax but no insurance and had no problems.

They apparently give you a months grace.

I had my bike (Same law applies) taxed but not insured for about 2/3 months without any hassle.

I can't imagine their first letter would be a fine, So IF you get bother, sorn it.

It says on dvla site I dont need to do it as its between registered keepers. So that gives me a week or so.

Also says if its retaxed in 21 days i dont get a refund. Stupid dvla.

It is fine like that, as you have to insure the car to tax it anyway.
