A sequel to 'The Inbetweeners Movie' will see the pals reunited at Neil Sutherland's wedding.

The first film - based on the TV comedy series - which sees Neil Sutherland and his friends Will McKenzie, Simon Cooper and Jay Cartwright and go to notorious Greek island Malia for a holiday after completing their A-Level exams and get involved in their usual sex and alcohol-fuelled misadventures has been such a success that producers are already planning a second film.

A source told the Daily Mirror: "Initially we said the characters and themes had reached a natural conclusion. But the success has been too big to ignore and it makes perfect sense to give the fans what they want.

"It would be much more viable than making an extra series because the characters have moved on, so that's what we're doing.

The planned sequel will see the four friends - played by Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison respectively and James Buckley - reunite four years after the original for Neil's stag party and wedding.

The source added: "The characters have all gone off and done different things but agree to hook up for his stag party and wedding."

Simon will be thrilled with the news as he recently admitted he was upset at the thought of the 'Inbetweeners' franchise coming to an end.

He said: "The last week of filming was quite emotional because we spent so much time together over the last three years. Knowing it's coming to an end is horrible, really."

'The Inbetweeners Movie' has so far made £25.8 million at the British box office.

I liked the first movie but I struggle to see this amounting to anything more than a britflick attempt at The Hangover.

I dont watch the series, thought that no way 4 people like that could actually exist in the real world, and be friends, and the ridiculously hot girl would go anywhere near the dorky one (dont know his name)

I'm still yet to finish the final series, got into it really late. I love the movie though! Hope this doesn't spoil it...

Should just make a new series, the film was just a long episode.
