Unless they can prove you have it they can't do shit. So if it's been delivered by couriour or signed for royal mail, they could see who's signed for it.

The couriers (whoever they were) will have records of who they have delivered to, and who has signed for what. If you genuinely haven't received anything, then you have nothing to worry about.

Stupid bitch should be more careful next time.

If she knocks again I would return the police favour and report harrassment.

Jesus Christ, I have enough trouble getting the Police to act when there is blatant fraud going on and a proper record of who paid and what is delivered, and they visit you on that.

You did well not to get arrested for telling them to do one.

what a strange situation to be in

so she sent a parcel and put your address on it? or she ordered online and typed your address in?

she should be more careful in future.

Why on earth and what possible genuine reason could she have for putting your address on it?

Sounds like shes pulling a fast one on somebody to me..

Why would you say no comment if you genuinely not had it? Just keep asking what proof they have that you had it? Doesn't sound like they have any!

dont go and give a statement as its a waste of hours of your life and they may take fingerprints/swab.

tell them to show you proof.

suitable proof would be your signature which they always get.

if not, ignore them

Nothing at all signed for. Only proof is royal mail saying its been delivered thats it. Ive spoke to police politely and honestly. Can i refuse to go in for a statment or is it best to get it out the way?

This is why I hate police. Workshy and clearly not a single ounce of common sense. There's probably a murdering rapist drug dealer next door that they are avoiding.

the royal mail delivery guy probably took ot for himself and entered in your address.

if they arrest you, you will get a record, dont have to be charged

Do they not destroy them if you don't get charged?

I don't think I'd be going in if they have no evidence. Be polite with them when they are at your house, being an arse will get you nowhere but until they prove the goods were delivered to your address and received they've very little to go on.
