I arrived home at about 5pm, parked up next to my house and locked car. Hadn't put interior light on and double checked locks due to OCD (although it automatically locks after so long anyway).

I've just heard a noise outside, looks out conservatory window to my drive, interior light is still off, although my dash lights, trip computer etc is all on and lit up definitely wasn't earlier, I was stood in same spot to take my farm boots off and car was in darkness.

After 10 seconds or so lights went off. I grabbed my fob to check car, and it was still locked.

What could cause dash lights to go on when car has been sat there for 5 hours? Got me a little freaked out. I've never noticed this before

Is the boot shut properly? Not sure if the boot switch would turn the trip computer etc. on but that's the only thing I can think of, if the wind's caused it to lift slightly and it's made the switch. That would only turn the boot light on too so could explain the courtesy light being off whilst the trip comp is on.

Not been in the boot since last week. It was definitely shut properly when I parked up as the 'open door' symbol on my dash wasn't lit up.

It just seems a massive coincidence that when I looked out after the car being parked up nearly 5 hours, the lights were not only on, but switched off after a few seconds. Had they been on the whole time it would be different

Mine sometimes does that, No picture just random talking and the LED light at the bottom lights up.
